As wonderful and functional as The Desk Bed is, it is not for everyone! We do not recommend The Desk Bed for anyone with disabilities or mobility issues. The ladder is the main limiting feature. Very young children might have difficulty with the ladder, as will the elderly. For the majority though, The Desk Bed is a marvelous piece of furniture, bringing additional functionality to a small room that just cannot be beaten.

We guarantee all our products for five years. All The Desk Bed elements have been designed to be suitably durable and stable and withstand every day use. All furniture have design limitations, The Desk Bed is no different in this respect.

The mattress and desk support long beams are capable of withstanding a point load of up to 100kg at mid-span. The desk and mattress support surfaces are able to withstand a distributed load of up to 200kg. In every day use, you are exceedingly unlikely to exceed these limitations, but do bear them in mind!

We manufacture and supply each component of The Desk Bed ourselves, so if you have any problems, even outside the five-year guarantee period, do let us know and we will endeavor to put things right.

The Desk Bed’s ability to effortlessly overcome floor level variations is often the single most important factor influencing our customers decision to purchase a Desk Bed. We have seen countless small bedrooms with boxouts tucked away in one corner of the room, presenting real challenges when it comes to finding a suitable space for a bed. As a result, very small rooms are often only used as storage spaces. No more! Each post of The Desk Bed can be shortened, individually, as required. We even supply the original post(s) so that The Desk Bed can be assembled in another room which does not have any floor level variations.
